Synopsis
“I firmly believe in the future reconciliation of these two states, apparently so contradictory, which are dream and reality, in a kind of absolute reality, of surreality, if one may say so.” (André Breton, Manifesto of Surrealism.)
“Dreaming – RAM Phase” is a metaphor for the ability of sleep to process the experiences we accumulate during the day.
It is an immersion in a dream world featuring two entities, the sleeper and the echo of his sleep, who influence each other through a waltz of movements and a sharing of thoughts and emotions, symbols of a profound intimacy.
The creative research takes inspiration from Max Ernst's surrealist vision based on the generation of hypnagogic images.
What happens when imagination and sleep's ability to process experiences merge? A labyrinth of emotions, experiences, and memories takes shape, composing, outside of any conventional framework, an unpredictable dimension with a cartoonish aesthetic.
“Dreaming – RAM Phase” is an open book with blank pages, a story written with the ink of fantasy, whose meaning is not based on logic but on the drive of desires and fears that permeate every layer of thought.
